Torx Pan Head Machine Screw

Torx Pan Head Machine Screw

Torx refers to a particular kind of screw head that Camcar Textron created in 1967 and is distinguished by its unique 6-point star pattern. Often called “Star Screws,” these fasteners can be tightened and untightened with a “star screwdriver” and “star bit.”

Cam-out, a frequent problem with Phillips head or slot head screws, is something that Torx head screws are made to withstand. Torx heads are specifically constructed to prevent cam-out, ensuring a more solid and dependable connection, whereas Phillips drivers are made to cam out under extreme torque to prevent damage to the screw head or driver.
